Australia is no stranger to bushfires, but this season has been unprecedented in scale and intensity- and the summer is far from over. As bushfires continue to blaze across the country and particularly after the disastrous recent events in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, Gunnebo Australia like many have watched in horror as this inferno spanning across many thousands of hectares has crushed communities and wildlife and has made a tremendous toll on our Firies and Emergency Services Personnel.
So far at least 17 people have died in blazes that have swept the country, more than 1,200 homes have been destroyed and 5.5 million hectares (13.5 million acres) of land has been burnt.
The toll rises, the count continues – the devastation unspeakable. So how can we help? According to the NSW Rural Fire Service, the best way to help is to donate money. Gunnebo Australia is pleased to pledge $10,000 to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery. It’s the least we can all do. If you wish to donate too please go to:
Let’s come together and do our part to come out stronger in these testing times.
