Increasing Security and Visibility through Entrance Control Solutions
After 20 years of operation, the decision was made to elevate the venues entrances through the use of TurnStiles integrated with a third party ticketing system at Perth Motorplex.
Perth Motorplex, a motorsport venue located at Kwinana Beach, Western Australia, is home to some of the states largest and most popular motor sporting events. The multi-million dollar facility has been in operation since December 2000, and has become the centre of attraction when it comes to motortaintment activities.
Solution
The sporting facility selected the Gunnebo solution for a range of different reasons: The design of the TurnStile; the integration capabilities; the effectiveness of the equipment; and meeting the venue’s budget. There were a few different options that were required to be included in the package as the venue has several entrances depending if you are a staff member, patron or entering through the competitor entry for racers and pit crew.
The TurnStiles installed are finished with stainless steel and feature a tri-arm for entry, bringing a clean and modern look to the entrance gates. Now, when arriving as a spectator to Perth Motorplex, you are greeted with a sleek entrance control system that is non-invasive for guests whilst increasing security and people flow.
Results
Since installing the 7 new Tri Arm TurnStiles, entry into the venue for patrons through the main entrance has now become a quick, easy and efficient process. Hand scanners are used during peak periods to assist in reducing lines and allows the patrons who require special access, such as those in wheelchairs a faster entrance. The singular TurnStile installed at the competitors’ entrance has made the process for racers and pit crew seamless and speedy – something they are all about!
