The Gunnebo PreSec is an advanced pre-security gate designed to validate boarding passes before passengers enter the security screening area. By seamlessly integrating with an airport’s passenger flight information system, PreSec ensures that only authorized travelers gain access, improving security while reducing congestion.
Equipped with intelligent sensors and an intuitive user interface, PreSec enhances the passenger experience by providing clear guidance through its 10.1” LCD display and real-time boarding pass verification. The system prevents unauthorized access and detects fraud attempts, safeguarding airport security while enabling a smoother, more efficient screening process.
PreSec integrates with the airport’s passenger flight information system to automatically verify boarding passes, ensuring only valid passengers proceed to security screening.
With an intelligent stacking feature, the gate allows passengers to present boarding passes in quick succession without unnecessary delays, processing up to 60 passengers per minute.
Gunnebo’s dense sensor array ensures single-passenger detection, preventing fraud attempts such as tailgating, piggybacking, and unauthorized access.
A 10.1” LCD display provides clear, real-time instructions to passengers, enhancing ease of use and minimizing confusion during pre-security checks.
PreSec is available in various configurations, including single or dual-lane setups, making it adaptable to different airport layouts and operational requirements.
The system can be upgraded with passport/document readers and biometric capture devices, adding an extra layer of security to passenger verification.

The integrated reader efficiently scans the barcode from either a printed or digital boarding pass, instantly verifying its validity. Once authenticated, the passenger is granted entry without unnecessary delays. As the traveler passes through the gate, their details are automatically registered in the airport’s passenger information system, ensuring real-time tracking and seamless coordination between security checkpoints, airline databases, and airport operations. This integration enhances security, efficiency, and passenger flow, reducing the need for manual checks while maintaining high accuracy and compliance.
