ImmSec HS

Airport immigration gate with integrated biometric technology to accelerate the
immigration process.

Next generation border control, redefined for 2025.

A specially designed double gate interlock solution purpose built for Automated Border Control (ABC) applications. Engineered for seamless integration with a range of multi- modal biometric systems including facial, fingerprint and iris recognition, as well as ICAO-compliant ePassport readers, it delivers fast, secure, and efficient processing.

Benefits of ImmSec HS

From its transparent design to its integration capabilities, the gate sets a new standard in immigration, ensuring quick processing and safety.

Transparent Design

The use of glass on ImmSec HS creates a more open and welcoming experience for travelers, reducing the sense of confinement often associated with immigration gates. This transparent style also makes it easier to place the unit in both modern and traditional airports without compromising on the existing space. From a safety and operational perspective, transparency gives better situational awareness. Staff can easily see what is going on inside the passage area at all times, enabling quick response to any problems or passenger needs.

Integration Capabilities

ImmSec HS has many integration capabilities and supports a wide range of multi-modal biometric technologies including facial, fingerprint and/or iris recognition. Seamless biometric verification gives accurate identity matching, reducing risk of fraud and speeding up the border control process to avoid bottlenecks. In addition to biometrics, the ImmSec HS is fully compatible with ICAO-compliant ePassport readers, enabling automatic and secure document authentication. This improved detection technology enables precise monitoring of passenger movement, reducing the likelihood of false alarms.

Flexible Processing Options

You can choose the flow that best suits your security and passenger throughput needs. The One-Step process combines passport and biometric verification within the mantrap itself. Once the gate has processed a passenger and closed exit doors, entry doors open to allow a new user in and close immediately after. The Two-Step process adds an extra layer by verifying passports before entry into the mantrap. Biometric checks are then completed inside, with doors only opening once the process is fully complete and the mantrap is cleared.

Features

Infrared Detection

High precision through beam infrared sensors accurately detect and count each passage through the entry doors. Within the mantrap corridor, strategically placed sensors at both upper and lower levels monitor presence and detect unauthorised actions such as jump-in or jump-out attempts.

Aesthetics

Crafted with durable materials such as stainless steel and optional powder coated finishes, the ImmSec HS is built to withstand years of passenger use while maintaining its sleek design. Dynamic LED lighting improves the passenger experience with intuitive visual cues for user guidance throughout the border control process.

Versatility & Convenience

Three configurable operational modes for flexibility to adapt to different scenarios and maintenance needs. Modes are easily selected via a key switch or remotely. In Emergency Mode, the gate unlocks the exit door while keeping the entry door open. Cleaning/Maintenance Mode means both doors remain open with alarms disabled. Running Mode is the standard for normal operation.
Overhead Detection
The AFL can be equipped with an integrated arch, designed to support an advanced overhead detection camera for enhanced security and accuracy. Featuring Time of Flight (TOF) technology, the overhead camera significantly improves tailgating detection, even in scenarios with minimal gaps between individuals (almost zero) while also enabling precise side by side fraud detection.

Unlike traditional stereoscopic cameras, the TOF camera utilises a high performance image sensor to create a 3D representation of the passage area, capturing both position and depth with exceptional reliability. The over head camera leverages infrared light rather than visible light commonly used in standard RGB cameras, TOF technology ensures consistent detection performance, minimising disruptions caused by varying natural or artificial lighting conditions.
