Gunnebo has sales offices in 33 countries across Europe, The Americas, Middle East and Asia-pacific. Gunnebo Australia is privately held Sales Company a part of the global sales office based out of our offices in Sydney and in Melbourne with our head office in Bella Vista in Sydney.

History

Gunnebo’s Roots

The company takes its name from the village of Gunnebo in the south-east of Sweden. It was here that Hans Hultman opened a forge in 1764 and started to produce hammers. This small business grew steadily and by the 1800s several factories were opened.

Modern-Day Gunnebo

The old metal-working business was acquired in 1995 by venture capital company, HIDEF. HIDEF adopted the Gunnebo name and took the decision to focus all of the company’s efforts on delivering security.

    Managing Director

    As Managing Director of Gunnebo – Australia & New Zealand, Michael Brookes helps customers overcome the challenges they face today in delivering an exceptional customer experience whilst running an operationally efficient business. He takes a vision and makes it reality through sound strategy development. Michael intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that wind through an organisation, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage.

    Michael is a straight-talking executive with a long history of achievement, and demonstrated ability to deliver business outcomes and sustainable growth. Previously, as Director of Marketing & Strategy, Michael led the development and implementation of business growth initiatives for Honeywell Building Solutions’ $400 million business across Australia and New Zealand. Earlier he worked in Business Development and Service Management roles with Siemens and Ericsson. He began his career in telecommunications where he held various technical roles.

    Technical Director

    Laurie is an experienced General Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the security and investigations industry. Skilled in Physical Security, Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM), Attack, Bullet and Blast resistance, Ticketing Systems, Crisis Management, Operations Management, and Sales Management. He is a strong professional with Management qualifications.

With his vast experience he helps in developing sales strategies that take a business beyond its core business, driving new revenue streams in developing markets.
